Why the insult “Bird Brain” is so ridiculous.

Common sayings such as the above Implies that birds are, well.....dumb, when as a matter of fact the complete opposite is actually true.

Despite bird brains being small, they are much more densely packed with neurons which means they make the most of small brains for maximum cognitive ability 🧠

In fact, some species like Parrots are thought to have more neurons per square inch than mammals, including primates! 🐒

This Is likely a good indicator as to why pet parrots require so much attention, enrichment & stimulation 🐦🦜
