Meet Us
Karl Hudson
One of my first animal jobs was at the age of 18 where I worked at a zoo training parrots & sea lions whilst also delivering shows to the public.
Since then I have worked in many animal industry roles including exotic pet supervisor & aquatics specialist & also spent a year working with animals in Australia.
Alongside my animal work I have also obtained a BSc Honours in Animal Behaviour & The Diploma in Management of Zoos & Aquarium Animals (DMZAA).
In my most previous role before A-Z Exotics, i spent six years as a qualified zoo keeper & animal presenter at one of the UK's leading Zoo's.
Laura Hudson
I began working with animals at the age of 14 where I landed my first Saturday job at a local kennels.
Since then, I have continuously worked in a variety of animal care roles including exotic pet shop advisor & animal keeper. I also have paid veterinary experience, therefore I am confident at administering a range of drugs & medications.
Alongside my practical work I have also obtained a BSc Honours in Animal Behaviour.
My specialist interest is exotic birds and I have written over twenty published husbandry & welfare-based articles on the subject.
In my most previous role before A-Z Exotics, i spent six years as an animal keeper & instructor at one of the UK's leading land based college’s working with almost every species of exotic pet you can imagine!
